FIELD: metallurgy, namely production of rolled strips and belts.
SUBSTANCE: method comprises steps of rolling hard-to-form strip with profile variable along its length in rolling stand with separate drive units of rolls at creating error of roll revolution number; applying increased tension effort to output cross section of strips; setting constant relation of circumference velocities of rolls no more than maximum elongation value; beginning rolling process by means of two driven rolls; during rolling process when torque of drive unit of driven roll achieves zero value, turning off drive unit of driven roll. Invention provides desired elongation value of strip at simultaneously lowered front tension and reduced draft value.
EFFECT: minimized power consumption, enhanced efficiency of rolling process.
