SUBSTANCE: invention relates to processing of loose materials in rotating drum. In proposed air distributor of malt-growing drum containing air inlet channels formed by drum shell, peripheral gauze tube and radial partions in between and furnished with channel to let out air which has passed through malt layer in form of central gauze pipe, novelty is that peripheral and central gauze pipes are made conical, forming variable-section channels to let air in and out. Areas of cross sections of holes of inlet channels and, accordingly, outlet hole of central conical gauze pipe and areas of their blind end faces are made with ratio 3:1. Invention provides leveling of air velocity over length of channel, increasing useful volume of drum occupied by malt owing to reduction of volume occupied by air channels.

EFFECT: increased capacity of malt drum.
