FIELD: tests of structures and specimens of materials working under pressure of electric conducting media for strength.
SUBSTANCE: proposed sensor has rod with circular bores and longitudinal slots. Depth of longitudinal slots exceeds depth of circular bores. Set of parallel contact elements if located in circular bores. Each contact element is provided with current-insulating coat. Fixed contact is made in form of knife element secured to sensor body. During motion of rod, knife element breaks insulating elements and cuts contact elements. Measuring circuit gets closed through knife element, electric conducting medium and contact elements with damaged insulating layer. As rod continues its motion, current in measuring circuit rises in stepwise manner. Availability of several longitudinal slots on rod makes it possible to use sensor repeatedly by turning the rod through angular pitch of longitudinal slots and filling the used slot with dielectric sealant.
EFFECT: enhanced efficiency.
