FIELD: engineering of electric equipment for internal combustion engines, namely, devices for igniting fuel-air mixtures.
SUBSTANCE: in accordance to invention, spark-plug contains side circular cylinder-shaped body-electrode, central electrode and isolator positioned between the former and the latter. In the end of isolator two circular recesses are made, positioned concentrically relatively to axis of spark-plug, forming micro-prechambers. One of aforementioned recesses is made in contact with central electrode, and second one - in contact with side body-electrode. Therefore, recesses form a circular shelf on the end of isolator, positioned between them.
EFFECT: increased efficiency of igniting capability of spark-plug due to multiple increase of dynamic and heat energy of starting ignition source of fuel-air mixtures in area of spark-plug electrodes.
