FIELD: wood working industry branch, spindles of milling machine tools.
SUBSTANCE: apparatus includes supports of spindle mounted in housing and unit for enhancing accuracy of spindle rotation. In order to improve accuracy of rotation mode, front supports of spindle are in the form of two radial thrust bearing assemblies. Unit for enhancing rotation mode accuracy is in the form of ring mounted between said radial thrust bearing assemblies and having piezoelectric members to plates of which electric current is supplied from power source. Height of piezoelectric members exceeds thickness value of ring by several micrometers. Electric current intensity and number of piezoelectric members are selected depending upon value of additional interference created in radial thrust bearing assemblies.
EFFECT: enhanced accuracy of spindle rotation mode.
