FIELD: machine building.

SUBSTANCE: invention includes housing and rotating reference spindle with two-row roller bearing, which is installed in it. In the housing coaxially to rear end of reference spindle there introduced is auxiliary axial support in the form of a ball located in seats of flange fixed in lower part of housing, and rear end of reference spindle. Two-row roller bearing is installed in the housing so that the specified working gap-preload is provided in the range of -2 to +3 mcm by means of adjustment ring with the required length, which is located on reference spindle between end of inner ring of two-row roller bearing and end on the side of flange of reference spindle. At that, inner ring of two-row roller bearing is pressed to it through adjustment ring by means of distance ring installed on reference spindle and interconnected with clamping round nut and the second end of inner ring of two-row roller bearing.

EFFECT: improving assembly quality of spindle assemblies of metal cutting machines.
