FIELD: construction.
SUBSTANCE: outer surface of the pipe ends is provided with ring grooves spaced by ring projections. The ends of the coupling are provided with ring grooves. The ring grooves in the pipes receive sealing rings. The pipe ends house inserts which seal the faces of pipes from the space of pipeline. The ring grooves, projections of pipes, and ring grooves in the coupling provide a locking joint.
EFFECT: enhanced strength of coupling.
