FIELD: gas-turbine engines and units.
SUBSTANCE: proposed combustion chamber has sectionalized flame tube. Each section is formed by lap-joined annular shells. One side of each shell has smooth surface and other one is corrugated. Smooth part of preceding shell is joined to corrugation peaks of next shell thereby forming cooling air passages whose length-to-width ratio is greater than 1.6 and greater than cross-sectional area of corrugations.
EFFECT: reduced temperature gradients in wall thereby reducing thermal stresses and enhancing service life of combustion chamber.
