FIELD: electrochemical generators built around alkali-electrolyte fuel cells.
SUBSTANCE: proposed electrochemical generator has fuel-cell battery, hydrogen and air (oxygen)feed and blowdown system, electrolyte circulation circuit with pump, heat exchanger, heater, and electrolyte tank incorporating electrolyte temperature and level sensor; electrolyte tank, pump, heater, level and temperature sensor are built integral to form single unit disposed under fuel cell battery. Electrolyte circulation circuit may be provided in addition with mechanical filter mounted in electrolyte tank. Heater may be made in the form of catalytic and/or electrical heater. Electrolyte tank may be made with its bottom tilted to center and may incorporate central cylindrical flask accommodating level sensor; electrolyte line of this flask communicates with electrolyte tank and its gas medium is isolated from that of electrolyte tank. Air (oxygen) outlet pipelines running from fuel cell battery may be communicating with gas medium through electrolyte tank and hydrogen outlet pipelines running from fuel cell battery may be communicating with cylindrical flask gas medium. Electrolyte tank volume is greater than electrolyte volume in electrochemical generator electrolyte circuit.
EFFECT: enhanced operating reliability of electrochemical generator.
