DISTRIBUTING HEAD OF ROTARY VACUUM FILTER Russian patent published in 2005 - IPC

FIELD: rotary drum-type or disk-type vacuum filters used in alumina production process; chemical industry; metallurgy.

SUBSTANCE: proposed distributing head has body with four cavities disconnected by means of strips, stationary washer with four holes of different length corresponding to filtering zones and first drying, second drying, blowing-off and regeneration and rotary washer adjoining it; rotary washer has equidistant holes of similar diameter. Stationary washer has additional second hole in zone of second drying of lesser length; it is located at distance from larger hole and from hole of blowing-off zone exceeding diameter of rotary washer. Stationary washer has circular groove with V-shaped loop on side adjoining the rotary washer which is located between holes in second drying zone and two through holes for supply water to groove and discharge it from it. Distance between holes of zones is equal to 1.1-1.5 of diameter of rotary washer hole. Cavity in head body corresponding to second drying zone is disconnected by additional strip dividing this cavity into two cavities; second cavity (in way of rotation of filter) is communicated with filtering zone.

EFFECT: reduction of moisture content in sediment.
