APPARATUS FOR LEVELING OF STRAW WITHDRAWN FROM WINDROWS Russian patent published in 2005 - IPC

FIELD: agricultural engineering, in particular, equipment used for harvesting of non-grain part of cereals and groats crops.

SUBSTANCE: leveling apparatus has frame, rake-type grid made in the form of hollow toothed bar fixed on frame. Bar is connected through hydraulic drive to tank and is provided with connecting pipes mounted on top of bar. Sprayers with gauged openings are put onto connecting pipes. Connecting pipes are positioned between teeth for turning through 180 deg. Leveling apparatus is adapted for leveling of straw withdrawn from straw windrows over field surface and simultaneously for applying of biologically active substances onto straw via sprayer openings to provide for intensified decomposition of plant tissue components and for reduced consumption of energy for further grinding of straw.

EFFECT: simplified construction, intensified decomposition of straw and reduced power consumption.
