FIELD: reprocessing of gold-containing raw material.
SUBSTANCE: method relates to gold recovery from organic materials by sorption with activated carbon from alkali sludge. Natural organic materials (coal, divot) is treated with caustic alkali solution, and sorptive agent (carbon) is activated by backing for 12-15 min directly before contact with solution and charged into solution in incandescence.
EFFECT: effective method for gold recovery from natural organic materials.
