FIELD: piping systems; shutoff devices.
SUBSTANCE: proposed diaphragm-type device is designed for opening and closing of passage in pipeline transporting controllable medium to operate as control or shutoff member in different industries. Self-contained filling level limiter has housing with inlet and outlet holes and inner space divided into inlet and outlet spaces by stepped partition with through hole, cover, drive installed through central hole of cover in inlet space and spindle with shank secured on cover. Upper part of spindle is provided with radial holes. Spindle carries rigidly mounted ring and shutoff in form of cup installed for relative axial displacement and dividing inlet space into upper and lower parts, diaphragm valve with diaphragm arranged to form over0diaphragm and under-diaphragm spaces. Said self-contained level limiter has drain pipe with check valve connecting over-diaphragm space of diaphragm valve with reservoir through hole made at preset filling level of controlled medium and with lower part of inlet space, pipe with check valve connecting upper part of inlet space with outlet space. Under-diaphragm space with plate with spring and rod secured on diaphragm is connected through hole with upper part of inlet space. Sizes of diaphragm valve are definitely related. Guide bushing with longitudinal side slots for two strips with fitted-on ring is installed from inner side of cover. Shutoff is made with stepped bottom with shoulders being installed with fixed clearance relative to walls. Vertical projection with mounting hole for shank is made form inner side of stepped bottom of shutoff. Vertical projection connects shutoff through spindle with drive. Maximum lifting height of shutoff depends on diameter of through being found from equation. If pipeline is provided with self contained OPEN/CLOSED gate second version of filling level limiter is used for operation at automatic filling limiting without drive with spindle and without guide bushing, strips and ring. All other members of limiter according to first design version are preserved.
EFFECT: simplified design, improved reliability in operation.
