METHOD TO SUPPORT MOVEMENT OF A BATTALION OF THE LAND FORCES BY A VOLLEY FIRE REACTIVE ARTILLERY SYSTEM AND A VOLLEY FIRE REACTIVE ARTILLERY SYSTEM FOR ITS REALIZATION Russian patent published in 2005 - IPC

Abstract RU 2249170 C2

FIELD: military weapons; application of the volley fire reactive artillery systems.

SUBSTANCE: the invention is dealt with the field of military weapons, in particular, with volley fire artillery systems. The substance of the method consists in the fact, that the volley fire reactive artillery vehicles are first given just coordinates of X and Y -axes of distance and direction of fire from the controlled points along the whole way of their movement to the firing line. The systems exercise a fire engagement by a command while keeping on their movement or making short-time stops. Using results of no less than two aimed shots they evaluate accuracy of zeroing in on a target and introduce the new coordinates for hitting the target by a volley fire simultaneously from all reactive artillery vehicles. A reactive artillery vehicle package of guiding cylinders is made with a capability of turning by 360° around of the axis of the launcher and supplied with a balancing gear. A charging device consists out of the main and auxiliary automatic loading mechanisms supplied with a double electromagnetic fixation system. The guidance system is made in the form of synchro-motors of a radar station and in addition is supplied with a gyroscope and an azimuth head. The central axes of the package of the guiding cylinders and the sight are supplied with the floating sight mechanisms. The technical result of the invention consists in increased reliability and improved operational characteristics of the volley fire reactive system.

EFFECT: the invention ensures increased reliability and improved operational characteristics of the volley fire reactive system.
