SUBSTANCE: proposed waveguide-stripline directional coupler has rectangular waveguide section, coaxial connections disposed on narrow wall of waveguide, and coupling member placed at certain angle to wide walls. Coupling member is made in the form of U-shaped conductor whose ends are directly connected to central conductors of coaxial connections. Dispensing with mechanical coupling between conductor and waveguide enables implementation of adjustable directional coupler design using one fixed connection without impairing power characteristics.

EFFECT: extended operating frequency range and enlarged range of implemented couplings.
