FIELD: radio engineering and communications.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to radio engineering industry, in particular to microwave technology, and can be used in radar antenna systems with frequency scanning. In an antenna array with wide-angle frequency scanning, including linear waveguide-slot radiators, connected to a multichannel power divider consisting of directional couplers and a delay line in the form of a snake rectangular waveguide, the channel of which is convolved in the E-plane and has rectilinear portions orthogonal to the longitudinal axis of the divider and two 180-degree bends forming an S-shaped turn, the periodicity of the geometry is violated due to the displacement of the couplers of the directional couplers and the S-shaped turns of the delay line in a direction parallel to the straight sections relative to the longitudinal axis of the divider by distances varying according to the law determined on the basis of the developed algorithm for minimizing the VSWR at the antenna input in operating frequency range. At the same time, a distinctive feature of the design of the multichannel power divider providing a practical possibility of realizing the claimed invention is that the power branch from the delay line is made by means of T-slotted directional couplers, which, in comparison with other known types of couplers, allow the separation of coupling elements relatively to the longitudinal axis and to maintain the equidistance of the array without disturbing the phase distribution at the outputs of the divider and further complicating the conventional scheme for constructing an antenna with a consecutive power supply of the emitters. Application of the invention completely eliminates the effect of normal and ensures matching throughout the operating frequency range when implementing wide-angle scanning through the normal to an antenna aperture, with a significant simplification of the design of a power divider, which allows to expand the scanning sector and the band of operating frequencies, improve matching, increase a gain factor and reduce the laboriousness of manufacturing.
EFFECT: complete elimination of a normal effect and ensuring alignment throughout the operating frequency range with wide-angle beam scanning through the normal to the antenna aperture, and a significant simplification of the device design.
