PROTECTIVE HELMET Russian patent published in 2005 - IPC

FIELD: means of individual defense, particular ballistic helmets protecting man's head from mechanic impacts, bullets, fragments.

SUBSTANCE: protective helmet has a body, manufactured of bound layers of ballistic fabric. Inside it suspension system is placed. It is made of belts of cupola part, two supporting belts, rigid belt fixed to the body with screws and measuring belt which has textile pile cloth fastener for length adjusting and installed on rigid belt's bolt-loops. Measuring belt is provided with a tape, sewed to it from outside by seams through intervals. The belts of the cupola part are sewed to the rigid belt by seams forming bolt-loops at the ends. The bolt-loops are put through intervals formed by seams in the tape and sewed to the belts of cupola part by seams forming bolt-loops through which measuring belt is passed.

EFFECT: decreases helmet's mass and reduces danger of head traumatizing by excluding placing of metal details on the measuring belt.
