FIELD: means of individual protection, in particular ballistic helmets protecting the human head against impacts, bullets and fragments. SUBSTANCE: the protective helmet has a semioval cover made of layers of ballistic cloth, shock absorbers and a chin belt. The cover is made soft, and an antitraumatic panel is installed between the cloth layers of the cover. The shock absorbers are made in the form of a dome-shaped detachable headgear, provided with a ventilation- absorbing rest. EFFECT: enhanced convenience of carriage since the helmet can be folded, convenience in placing in fighting equipment due to reduced overall dimensions. The helmet is safe at dropping. Besides, separate use of the dome-shaped headgear in the form of a panama and the cover at putting it on the interphone headset of the fighting equipment operator is possible; the helmet mass does not exceed 1000 g. 8 cl, 5 dwg
