FIELD: electrical engineering; sensors of electrical equipment overcurrent protective gear.
SUBSTANCE: proposed transformer-type sensor of motor protective relay has field coil and multiturn toroidal measuring coil with inner bore. Both coils are placed inside ferromagnetic core that has butt-end wall and two side walls. This sensor is characterized in that its field coil is made in the form of phase conductor and pressed to butt-end wall of core that carries multiturn coil installed on ferromagnetic axle perpendicular to phase conductor. This axle is threaded on ends and passed through slits in side walls of core whereon it is locked in position with aid of threaded fastening members. Ferromagnetic core can be made in the form of U-shaped strip.
EFFECT: enhanced reliability of sensor attachment to phase conductor without injuring the latter.
