FIELD: shock-action power drives of manufacturing process mechanisms; contact drivers of high-speed switching apparatus. SUBSTANCE: shock-action linear induction motor has series of three coils: first 1, middle 2 and last 3 installed along axis x for movement and a number of secondary shorted tuned circuits coupled inductively to coils, for example, first tuned circuit 4, last tuned circuit 5 and intermediate tuned circuit 6. Edge tuned circuit 4 of coil 1 is pressed to rest 7, and edge tuned circuit 5 of coil 3 is pressed to moving striker 8. Every coil, for example coil 1, is embraced with two tuned circuit 4 and 6 adjacent to it on face sides. Cylindrical gaskets 9 are placed between adjacent tuned circuits 6 of adjacent coils for example 1 and 2. Every coil is fixed with its internal surface to external surface of circular insulation support 11 positioned between two tuned circuits 4 and 6 embracing the coil. Primary coils 1,2,3 are connected to power source 21 so that currents in adjacent coils flow in opposite directions. When currents are excited in electric motor electrodynamic repulsion force arises between adjacent coils and tuned circuits. They move relative to each other, and striker 8 obtains summary speed with respect to rest 7. EFFECT: enhanced efficiency of device. 11 cl, 9 dwg
