SUBSTANCE: proposed controlled rectifier using center-tapped circuit arrangement has power transformer, choke, first and second thyristors whose cathodes are integrated; choke has two coils connected in series with first and second thyristors, respectively; connection of choke coils is cumulative and their leads are connected to secondary winding leads of power transformer.
EFFECT: enhanced reliability and reduced electromagnetic noise produced by rectifier.
