FIELD: working of ducts with large non-uniformity of blank allowance.

SUBSTANCE: method comprises steps of introducing (before starting working operation) calibrating member to working zone at side of zone termination through opening of end portion of blank due to breaking contact of cone regulator of opening diameter with elastic gasket and due to compression of front guide; providing guaranteed interference between calibrating member and worked surface due to applying voltage to inductor; simultaneously moving tie rod with tool-electrode in direction of start of its motion until outlet of working portion of tool-electrode from working zone; cutting off electric current and moving tie rod until interruption of contact of cone regulator of opening diameter and elastic gasket of calibrating member; shifting tool-electrode out of working zone. Front guide and calibrating member have outer end portions whose surfaces are characterized by cone angle not exceeding friction angle of material contact.

EFFECT: guaranteed cold working on surface of variable cross section duct, lowered labor consumption at working.
