FIELD: mechanical engineering; piston machines.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to sealing devices of internal combustion engines. Proposed sealing device of cylinder-piston group contain ring seal installed in ring groove of piston and contacting with sealed inner surface of cylinder and one of inner planes of groove, and shielding element in contact with plane of seal. Sealing device contains ring stop of shielding element. Piston is made sectional, split in ring groove area. Shielding element is made nonsplit. Provision of shielding element with ring stop makes it possible to overlap passage of combustion products into space formed by seal, shielding element and ring stop. Moreover, provision of shielding element increases friction force in seal-piston pair in radial direction two times.
EFFECT: decreased mechanical losses in engine cylinder-piston group.
