FIELD: machine tool manufacture, possibly forming roughness, mainly on rollers used in flour-milling industry.

SUBSTANCE: tool in the form of grinding disc is mounted in attachment that may move in horizontal and vertical planes. Said attachment includes screw engaged with nut and axle secured to nut for keeping grinding disc in predetermined plane. Fork and spring are mounted on axle and they are designed for applying pressure to disc mounted on shaft whose end portions by means of bearing assemblies are arranged in said fork. At operation grinding disc rolls around rotating cast iron roller for forming preset roughness on its surface.

EFFECT: economically effective design of apparatus taking into account shape of roller.
