FIELD: crushing or grinding of various materials.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the production of equipment for grinding loose materials, in particular when grinding wheat and rye grains for the production of flour and processing products thereof, and can be used in confectionary, beer and non-alcoholic, feedstuff and some other branches of food-processing industry. Method consists in the fact that a two-layer barrel of a milling roller with diameter of 250 mm and length of 600–1,000 mm with external working layer of nickel-molybdenum cast iron with thickness of 14–20 mm and hardness of 530–550 HB and inner layer of cast iron with vermicular graphite with thickness of 55 mm with hardness of 460–495 HB are made by centrifugal casting by successive pouring of two metals into rotary mould, and after its removal from the mould, it is subjected to mechanical treatment with subsequent pressing-in of steel support trunnions, treated in a nitrogen medium at a temperature of minus 180–200 °C, into end seats. Rifles are cut on cylindrical surface of barrels of milling rolls used in the system of broken grinding, at the same time cutting is carried out with slope of 4% to 10% and pitch of 0.6–2.5 mm. Application of roughness on the surface of the milling rollers used in the grinding system is carried out during their operation due to destruction of brittle component in form of phosphide eutectic located along grain boundaries in metal of working layer, which is formed due to increased content of phosphorus in it in amount of 0.5–0.7%.
EFFECT: method makes it possible to manufacture rolls providing reliable operability with long operational cycle.
