FIELD: equipment for purifying of air drawn into house by oxidizing hazardous chemical substances therein at high temperature with the use of catalyst.
SUBSTANCE: apparatus has cylinder made from refractory electrically isolating ceramics and provided with nichrome incandescent filaments of high resistivity attached to cylinder, fan with electronic control circuit equipped with thermal sensor, switch for switching-on and switching-off of fan engine or regulator and safety device. Apparatus is further provided with housing having cover equipped with detachable filter-sieve and perforated cooling plate. Incandescent filaments are arranged in drum cavity in single plane in equally spaced relation with one another and attached to cylinder through channels in its wall defining grids successively arranged transverse to its axis. Grids are connected in series with supply mains for heating air in grid spacings to temperature of at least 750°C. Cylinder is located in sleeve manufactured from refractory dielectric of low heat-conductivity. Window is provided in sleeve bottom and has diameter equal to cylinder inner diameter.
EFFECT: improved air medium in house owing to increased quality of air purified from hazardous chemical substances contained therein, in particular, from carbon dioxide, nitrogen dioxide, and sulfur dioxide, and reduced consumption of power.
