SUBSTANCE: invention relates to marine engines exhaust gases cleaning and noise suppression devices. Method for complex purification of exhaust gases from a marine engine and a device for its implementation are offered. Method includes mixing exhaust gases with ozone without admixtures of nitrogen oxides in a swirled gas stream in a mixing-oxidation chamber cooled by an absorbent. Chamber oxidizes most of the nitrogen monoxide, sulfur dioxide and carbon monoxide contained in the exhaust gases with the consumption of all ozone and condensation of some parts of water vapor. Cooling of the absorption chamber is carried out by outer air. Absorption of oxidized harmful components is carried out by absorption water coming from the annular spraying device and absorbing the formed NO2, SO2, fine particles (soot, etc.). Adsorption of CO2 is carried out in the adsorber, where the exhaust gases pass through adsorption sections filled with granules of slag pumice with a diameter of 5 to 10 mm, made from the main metallurgical slag. After that, the purified exhaust gases pass through the droplet separator, they are released from the dripping drops of water and released into the atmosphere, the acid condensate, absorption and washing water flow into the collector of acidic water.

EFFECT: simultaneously with the exhaust gas purification process, their noise is silenced due to the design features of the NOx cleaning unit and sound absorption by the highly porous structure of the metallurgical slag granules in the adsorber.
