FIELD: production of hot-rolled stock; thermal hardening and hydraulic transportation of small profiles.
SUBSTANCE: proposed method includes austenization, hydraulic transportation and cooling in closed chambers at excessive static pressure by flow of water: in countercurrent flow at the beginning and in concurrent flow later on. Novelty of invention consists in cooling of front end of feed in countercurrent flow; duration of cooling does not exceed 0.1 of total duration of forced cooling.
EFFECT: reduced consumption of coolant; reduced power requirements; smooth intensive cooling.
