FIELD: manufacture of rolled products and thermal processing thereof during hot rolling, in particular, thermal strengthening and hydraulic transportation of rolled products, preferably, heavy section and light section profiles.
SUBSTANCE: method involves cooling rolled products with water flow movable relative to rolling surface at flow speed of 9-14 m/s in closed chamber at excessive static pressure of 5-10 atm. Maximal static pressure zone is spaced from site where water flow is introduced into chamber by distance making 15-30 diameters of chamber. Said distance and excessive static pressure are changed depending on cross section of rolled product to be cooled.
EFFECT: increased efficiency and unobstructed displacement of rolled products through cooling system.
