FIELD: metallurgy; corrosion-resistant steels for operation in highly aggressive media.
SUBSTANCE: proposed corrosion-resistant ferritic austenitic chromium-manganese steel contains the following components, mass-%: carbon, 0.06-0.1; silicon, 0.8-1.2; manganese, 14.0-16.0; chromium, 23.5-35.5; the remainder being iron, provided ratio of volumetric parts of ferrite (α) and austenite (γ) in steel structure are limited by inequality: 0.25≤γ:α≤0.5. In hot-rolled state at normal temperature, steel possesses the following mechanical properties: ςult.=680 Mpa; ς02=570 Mpa; δ=23-26%; ψ=46-48%; KCU=0.65-0.90 MJ/sq m; HB=192-197.
EFFECT: enhanced corrosion resistance in aggressive media, sodium sulfide solution in particular and aluminate alkali solutions in the course of boiling them down for production of alumina.
