FIELD: mechanical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention is designed for main lines of rolling mills. Proposed hinged spindle has heads, each being base with three projecting cams with inserts in form of hemispheres placed between carrying surfaces of cam faces and arranged in semispherical seats in cams of one head in contact through flat surfaces with surfaces of faces of cams of other head. Novelty is that cams of hinge joint in cross section are made in form of sector of circular ring with angles of sector wedges providing equal bending strength of cams and clearances between faces of cams in hinge joint in assembly with account of angle of cocking. Inner faces of cam heads at 0.45-0.49 of their depth relative to base plane mated as a whole by radii with center on axis of hinge joint commensurable with radii of inner faces of cams. Semispherical hole is made in body of mated section of one head along its axis, and bore is made in body of mated section of other head in spaces of which ball joint is fitted so that its center lies in plane passing through centers of seats for inserts. One axle of ball joint is connected through damper to one head, and the other is rigidly connected to other head. Bore holes are made in faces of cams of one of heads which accommodate damping members for taking up radial and annular gaps.
EFFECT: increased load capacity and service life of higher joint, provision of uniform distribution of loads on inserts and reduced wear.
