FIELD: processes for hot rolling of strips in wide strip rolling mills.
SUBSTANCE: method comprises steps of restoring initial active surface of roll barrel by grinding; rolling strips at biting angle of strip between rolling rolls multiple to half value of angular pitch of teeth of gear type roll; normalizing absolute reduction value of rolled strip at one pass in each stand with use of mathematical relation; setting minimum biting angle and minimum reduction value in stand of finish stand group in which thickness of rolled strip at outlet of plastic deforming zone is in range: 2δ > h 2 > 1.1 δ, δ - thickness of ready strip; h 2 - thickness of rolled strip at outlet of plastic deforming zone.
EFFECT: elimination of rib formation on active surface of roll barrel in the result of torsion oscillations of rolls.
