FIELD: mechanical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention is designed for use in ventilation system of passenger cars pulled by locomotives, electric-and diesel-driven trains and other types of rolling stock. Proposed inertia filter contains air intake screen mating with air channel which has narrowing and widening parts and dust screen with shaped straps installed at inlet of dust trap connected by dust channel with aerodynamic cleaner. Novelty is that filter is furnished with separator plate curved in direction of narrowing and installed after narrowing before dust screen whose shaped straps are provided with axles of rotation arranged in tops of sections.
EFFECT: prevention of choking of dust screen and reduction of aerodynamic resistance.
