SUBSTANCE: invention relates to air intake devices for helicopter gas turbine engines. The air intake device of a helicopter for a gas turbine engine, which provides air purification from foreign objects, including fine gravel, sand and dust, is characterized by the fact that the front part of the outer shell of the fairing (6) has a conical shape, and the generatrix of the conical shell is directed from the leading edge (21’) the inlet of the fairing channel back and to the periphery and connects to the subsequent part of the fairing contour line (6), which forms the separator channel. A shut-off valve with a drive (15) is installed on the side of the inlet in the flow channel (23) of the fairing. In the bypass annular channel of the air intake device immediately in front of the rotary section of the inertial separator, there is a preparatory section formed by the space between the surface of the expanding part of the tunnel (2) and the front surface of the fairing, consisting of a peripheral conical section of the fairing and the front frontal surface in the form of the surface of the shutter elements located in closed position.
EFFECT: efficient air purification from foreign objects is achieved.
