FIELD: finishing works on buildings, particularly for forming balustrades and handrails for pedestrian, civil and industrial zones.

SUBSTANCE: grid comprises rod pattern. Rods include layers of crossing and/or interlacing glass or basalt fibers or combination thereof with polymeric binding agent based on epoxy, polyester or vinyl ethereal resin having thickness of 0.5 - 5 mm. Fibers and polymeric binding agent are taken with volumetric ratio of 1:0.4 - 1:0.6. Rods are formed with outer protective coating having 0.2 - 3 mm thickness and based on polymeric binding agent. Coating is made as a single whole with polymeric binding agent of rod material as continuous uniform layer reinforced with outer layer from rod side across the whole surface thereof. Rods may have thin-walled side extensions. Gaps between the extensions may be filled with foamed filling material, for instance foam plastic, foamed glass, foamed concrete or with grinded rubber or rubber-cord waste products.

EFFECT: reduced weight and increased corrosion resistance.
