FIELD: rolled stock production, namely processes of cold rolling of strips in continuous rolling mills.
SUBSTANCE: method comprises steps of successively reducing metal in stands of continuous rolling mill at applying tension of predetermined values in intervals between stands. According to invention in mean zone of inter-stand intervals, additional vertical efforts are applied to strip by smooth bending of its cross section in zone symmetrical relative to lengthwise axis of strip, having width (0.60 - 0.67)B and maximum camber in mean part along width (of said zone) Δh = 0.5(1.04 - 1.06)n-1 x l√ςy, mm, where B and ςy respectively width of rolled strip and its initial yield strength, MPa ; l - length of interval between stands, m; n - number of interval between stands along rolling process direction.
EFFECT: lowered cross thickness difference of strip, more uniform wear along roll barrel.
