FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention aims at increasing quality of finished rolled sheet and efficiency of rolling. Proposed method comprises consecutive reduction of strip with stretching in interstand intervals. Specific tension of strip q is selected subject to total reduction εΣ, steel yield limit σT and strip width B in rolling low carbon steels with σT ≤325 MPa, equal to: at relation between strip width and length Lδ of roll body B/Lδ≤0.64 and - for B/Lδ>0.64, while in rolling high-strength steels with σT>325 MPa for various ratio B/Lδ specific strip tension q is specified by mathematical relationships.
EFFECT: better flatness of strip, reduced idle intervals.
