FIELD: rolled stock production, namely rolling thin and thinnest strips of steels and non-ferrous metals.
SUBSTANCE: mill for rolling thin and thinnest strips includes screw-down and tension mechanisms, main drive unit, working and backup rolls preliminarily forced one to other by their barrels. Working rolls have different diameters; one working roll is joined with main drive unit. According to invention diameter of barrel of drive working roll exceeds by 2 - 6 times diameter of barrel of non-driven working roll. Barrel of non-driven working roll has on its edges shoulders mutually spaced along their base by distance that exceeds rolled strip width by 10 -15% and along their apexes - by 15 - 20 %. Height of said shoulders is determined depending upon technological parameters of rolling process and dimensions of roll.
EFFECT: uniform cross thickness difference of strip, good condition for reducing lateral edges of strip.
