FIELD: transport engineering; railless vehicles.
SUBSTANCE: proposed semitrailer consists of body, chassis with wheels, both main wheels and spare wheels, and safety bar connected to chassis frame in its rear part. Safety bar hinge-secured on chassis frame carries at least pair of spare wheels installed for rotation of bar and enclosed over their rolling surface with endless flexible member made in form of rubberized cloth tape for engagement, through intermediate rollers whose axes are arranged in vertical planes at angle to horizontal, with main wheels of semitrailer. Said safety bar is spring loaded relative to chassis frame by compression spring.
EFFECT: prevention of road accidents with death of participants when vehicle following semitrailer comes in contact with rear part of semitrailer.
