PLANT WATERING APPARATUS Russian patent published in 2005 - IPC

FIELD: irrigation equipment used for automatic watering of home plants with predetermined doses.

SUBSTANCE: apparatus has hermetically sealed reservoir with feeding liquid, outlet pipe disposed in lower part of reservoir and equipped with hydraulic gate, and air admission pipe disposed in upper part of reservoir. One end of air admission pipe is dipped into hermetically sealed reservoir and other end is equipped with sensor-moisture regulator. Lower end of pipe of sensor-regulator is filled with thin-filament material and is lowered into ground of container with plant. Overturning dosing ladle with magnetic retainer is positioned under outlet pipe on horizontal rotating shaft. Watering is performed when air penetrates through thin-filament material of sensor-regulator and air admission pipe into hermetically sealed reservoir. Liquid is discharged through outlet pipe into dosing ladle, which is automatically overturned upon filling thereof. Watering is interrupted when ground is impregnated with moisture and air is not delivered anymore into hermetically sealed reservoir.

EFFECT: increased efficiency by providing plant watering as it is requested by plant itself depending upon concrete conditions.
