METHOD FOR STAGED REPRODUCTION OF SOIL FERTILITY Russian patent published in 2005 - IPC

FIELD: agriculture, in particular, restoration of soil fertility.

SUBSTANCE: method involves preliminarily separating carcass lines of slope relief (water-dividing part and middle part, base); providing detailed soil investigation and defining plots with critical humus content or humus content approximating critical value; selecting kinds and ratio of grass mixture components with humus content on different elements of relief being taken into account; at first stage, providing sowing to grass of the entire surface of slope by coverless sowing of two kinds of perennial forage grasses: 80% of sand esparcet and 20% of awnless brome grass by total weight norm of sowing of seed mixture; at second stage, providing repeated sowing, in particular, sowing of three-component leguminous-cereal mixture of perennial grass seeds. In order to provide for coverless sowing, triple mixture of sand esparcet (64%), hop clover (30%) and narrow-ear wheat grass 6%) is prepared on water-dividing and middle parts of slope. In order to provide for coverless sowing on lower part of slope, three-component mixture of hop clover (56%), awnless brome grass (33%) and narrow-ear wheat grass (11%) by weight norm is prepared.

EFFECT: increased efficiency in reproducing of potential soil fertility, with soil humification level on relief elements being taken into account.
