HYDRAULIC CYCLONE-THICKENER Russian patent published in 2005 - IPC

FIELD: separation of suspensions and dehydration of their thickened fractions; production of solid phase from liquid manure.

SUBSTANCE: proposed hydraulic cyclone has cylindrical housing with cover and discharge branch pipe, feeder, drain branch pipe and unit for dehydration of thickened fraction made in form of bell mouth formed on branch pipe and secured on last plate at inclined bead and taper bottom whose vertex is directed to discharge branch pipe. Bell mouth forms clearances relative to bead and bottom; at the top of bottom there is hole. Housing is mounted for rotation in bearing supports; feeder is made in form of closed sleeve fitted with inlet and supply branch pipes. Sleeve is embraced through seal by central branch pipe of cover over center portion. Supply branch pipe is made in form of bow whose peripheral contour is formed over curve tangential to wall of cylindrical housing and drain branch pipe is passed through closed sleeve.

EFFECT: enhanced reliability of process.
