FIELD: non-ferrous metallurgy, namely production of modifying materials in the form of press-products for modifying aluminum and its alloys, possibly manufacture of ingots and castings.
SUBSTANCE: method comprises steps of melting material, superheating melt, soaking it at temperature of superheating, accelerated crystallization on surface of water-cooled crystallizing rolls. Superheating of melt is realized at 700 - 760°C. Accelerated crystallization is combined with deformation of crystallized part of blank in rolls of rolling mill at reduction degree 50 -70 % and deformation rate 1 - 4 s-1. Then blank is extruded through water-cooled die at elongation factor no less than 10. At process using as modifying material aluminum and its alloys of chemical composition corresponding to that of produced aluminum and its alloy.
EFFECT: enhanced quality and modifying capability of alloy material providing fine-grain structure of ingots of aluminum and its alloys at adding modifying materials according to invention.
