METHOD FOR TESTING CIRCUIT-BREAKER CURRENT PROTECTIVE GEAR (ALTERNATIVES) Russian patent published in 2005 - IPC

Abstract RU 2257635 C1

FIELD: electrical engineering; testing circuit-breakers.

SUBSTANCE: novelty in proposed method for testing circuit-breakers involving desired current supply to them is that current value is reduced or converter is cut off at instant when power contacts start separating. In this way protective gear responds to voltage rise across contacts or to opening of circuit-breaker auxiliary contact.

EFFECT: enhanced reliability and extended service life.
