FIELD: electrical engineering; development of power supply systems for flying vehicles.
SUBSTANCE: proposed system has permanent-magnet excited synchronous generator 1 set in rotary motion by means of shaft of aircraft engine 2. Output of generator 1 is connected to static frequency changer 3 that has ac and dc terminal leads. In emergency situations, such as reduction in engine shaft speed to 10 - 15% of rated value, that is to autorotation regime, system organizes no-break power supply to user by changing over to stand-by power supply for feeding users in emergency situation. This emergency power supply is organized around available frequency changer 3 which is switched over by means of control unit 4 responding to emergency warning signal to run as controlled dc power supply and dc voltage picked off its terminal leads is conveyed to emergency dc buses. Electrical energy produced by generator 1 even at low aircraft-engine speed is sufficient to set up voltage of 27 V across additional dc leads of frequency changer 3 required for feeding users.
EFFECT: reduced mass and size.
