FIELD: electrical engineering.

SUBSTANCE: group of inventions refers to electromechanical converters. Method for accelerating the start of the motor-generator electromechanical DC-to-AC converter is as follows. Capacitive storage device is charged from the DC source, then the drive is connected to the windings of the drive motor of the electric machine converter, and after the acceleration of the common motor shaft and the generator of the converter, the motor windings are switched to the DC power supply. DC winding is also connected to the DC source, the anchor winding of which is connected to the output terminals of the converter. And for the time of acceleration of the converter shaft, the excitation winding and the anchor winding of its generator are connected to the power supply from the capacitive accumulator. And the anchor winding is connected via a controlled electronic inverter, providing a starter mode of the generator with frequency control and amplitude of its voltage. Also, a device for implementing a method for accelerating the start of an engine-generator electromechanical converter is claimed.

EFFECT: technical result is reduced starting time of the electric machine converter.
