FIELD: electrical engineering; industrial automation, holding devices, and the like.
SUBSTANCE: proposed power supply designed for feeding dc electromagnetic drives has bridge rectifier circuit that functions to supply with power electromagnetic drive coil and diode connected in series with bridge rectifier circuit; connected in parallel with diode is thyristor whose control circuit incorporates parallel-connected diode, current-limiting resistor, and capacitor, the latter being shorted out by discharge resistor which makes it possible to turn on thyristor when energizing power circuit of electromagnetic drive during definite half-cycles of supply voltage within time interval required for electromagnetic drive operation (full-wave rectification), whereupon thyristor is cut off and coil is supplied with power over half-wave rectifier circuit through diode connected in parallel with thyristor.
EFFECT: simplified design.
