FIELD: electricity.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to electronic equipment for conversion of AC voltage to DC voltage. The converter comprises a rectifier connected to a single-phase network of AC current, a control unit, and also a serial circuit comprising N capacitors (where N is more or equal to 2) and connected to the rectifier's output, and also units for collection and distribution of load current, joined with the specified serial circuit from N capacitors so that the specified capacitors are charged from the rectifier in serial connection, and discharge into the load circuit in parallel connection, besides, the device additionally comprises an electronic key, driven by signals of a control unit and providing for passage of the load current from the unit of current collection to the unit of current distribution at the moments, when amplitude of rectified voltage is less than the specified value, and units of load current collection and distribution are arranged in the form of diode combs, at the same time the serial circuit additionally includes N current-limiting resistors and N-1 or N diodes.

EFFECT: increased power ratio and simplified design of a proposed device.
