FIELD: antenna engineering; radars used for detecting subsurface and underwater targets.
SUBSTANCE: proposed antenna system has case in the form of double-bottom square metal box with central hole in first bottom; pyramid-horn metal reflector with central hole at base disposed inside box coaxially with the latter and electrically connected through its base to its first bottom; two pairs of identical dipoles whose longitudinal axes are disposed in two relatively perpendicular planes in diagonal planes of reflector and box. Dipoles are made of arc-wise bent strip conductors whose length increases from initial sections that function as dipole lead-ins toward their end sections sharpened at 90 deg., and are disposed inside reflector. End sections of dipoles are disposed in internal dihedral corners of reflector close to its butt-end with equal clearances between dipoles and reflector inner walls perpendicular to them.
EFFECT: improved spatial resolution of antenna system due to extended band and improved matching with medium under investigation.
