FIELD: electrical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: proposed switchgear cubicle incorporating equipment compartment accommodating plurality of power switches arranged one on top of other has junction compartment accessible from front end and disposed on one side close to equipment compartment. Junction compartment accommodates parallel buses with terminal strips for connecting plurality of cables. Inclined position of at least some buses facilitates cable connection. Easy access to junction compartment from its front end makes it possible to install switchgear cubicle directly in front of wall. Great number of cables can be connected in comparatively narrow junction compartment.
EFFECT: reduced size of cubicle, easy access to junction compartment for inspecting terminal strips.
